CAPE WINELANDS TOUR

From Cape Town we head for Stellenbosch where we tour this historic town and visit a wine cellar. Here we watch the production process before enjoying a wine tasting. We continue to Boschendal for lunch (optional) and visit the manor house. The Cape winelands tour continues to Franschhoek where we see the impressive Huguenot Monument. Finally we drive to Paarl with its Afrikaans Language Monument before returning to Cape Town.

THE CAPE PENINSULA

On this spectacular circular tour of the Cape Peninsula we drive from Cape Town through Sea Point and Camps Bay to Hout Bay where you might like to join an optional cruise to see the Cape Fur Seals. The tour continues to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point where one can take a funicular ride (optional) to the viewpoint. Next we visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and drive along the False Bay coast back to the City.

THE SOUTHERN COAST - WHALE WATCHING TOURS

We drive along the N2 to the picturesque beach resort of Gordon’s Bay. We take the stunning coastal route with its superb views of False Bay. Arriving at Betty’s Bay one can take a short walk to see the penguins or stroll through the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. We continue to Hermanus where there will be time to walk along the cliff path to see the whales (July to November). If time permits we take the scenic drive up Rotary Way to enjoy the fine view of the town and Walker Bay before heading back to the city via the Houwhoek and Sir Lowry’s passes.

THE WEST COAST

From Milnerton we drive to Blouberg to see the dramatic views of Table Mountain across Table Bay. The tour takes us to Yzerfontein on the coast where we transverse the West Coast National Park to Langebaan and Saldanha Bay. Here we enjoy lunch at a harbour restaurant (optional). Thereafter we make our way to St Helena Bay, Velddrif and Laaiplek. We cross the Berg River where we can see the fishing fleet and bird lovers may get a glimpse of several varieties of water bird on the estuary. We return to Cape Town via the town of Darling and the mission village of Mamre.

CAPE TOWN CITY

We take an optional trip to the top of Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting). The tour then visits the Castle of Good Hope and we drive through the city viewing many historic buildings as well as learning about the cultural heritage of the rainbow nation. At the Company Gardens we stop and take an interesting walk through Government Avenue. The Bo-Kaap (previously known as the Malay Quarter) with its mosques and colourful terraced houses is explored.

CAPE WINELANDS TOUR

This tour centres on the university town of Stellenbosch. Up to two wine estates can be visited or more emphasis can be placed on the architecture and history of the area. As part of the Cape winelands tour, we also make a short visit to the Boschendal Estate and its manor house before returning to Cape Town.

CAPE GARDEN ROUTE TOURS

We offer a variety of Cape Garden Route tours from three to seven days, either a round trip from Cape Town, or one way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. The seven day tour includes the Addo Elephant National Park. Here are two examples of these tours:

3 DAY CAPE GARDEN ROUTE

• DAY 1: Pick up from home or hotel at 8.30 a.m. Drive out of the City on the N2 passing through Somerset West and over Sir Lowry’s Pass. Continue through the wheatlands to Mossel Bay. Here we visit the Dias Maritime Museum and the Point. We then travel through to Knysna where we overnight.
• DAY 2: This morning we start off by driving to Plettenberg Bay and the Crags where we visit Monkeyland with it’s variety of monkeys which inhabit the natural forests, or alternatively, Birds of Eden, the largest single free flight aviary in the world. Thereafter, we visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River mouth. Our final attraction for the day is the Paul Sauer (Storms River) Bridge. We return to our accommodation for the night.
• DAY3: We start the day with free time in Knysna where there will be an opportunity to browse in the town centre or at the waterfront. We then continue back toward Cape Town passing Mossel Bay and Heidelberg and then over the Tradouws Pass to Barrydale. We complete our tour via Robertson, Worcester and the Du Toits Kloof Pass to the city.
  

7 DAY CAPE GARDEN ROUTE AND ADDO WILDLIFE SAFARI TOUR

• DAY 1: We drive out of the City on the N2 and over the Sir Lowry’s Pass via Caledon to Swellendam. We then travel to Mossel Bay where we visit the Dias Maritime Museum before checking into our guesthouse for the night.
• DAY 2: Leaving Mossel Bay we travel via George to Knysna. This takes us through the Wilderness and Lake District. On arrival at Knysna we will have time to browse at the waterfront and take the ferry trip to the Heads. Tonight our accommodation will be in Knysna.
• DAY 3: This morning we start off by visiting Plettenberg Bay and continuing to Monkeyland or Birds of Eden. We follow the Old Passes route to Nature’s Valley. Following the old road we visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River mouth. We then continue to the Paul Sauer (Storms River) Bridge. We drive via Port Elizabeth to Addo and the Addo Elephant National Park for a two night stopover, either in the Park, or at a nearby guesthouse.
• DAY 4: After breakfast we take a drive through the Addo Elephant National Park. We spend time in the bush watching the elephant and other animals. After lunch we visit Schotia Private Game Reserve for an afternoon and evening safari. Dinner is included and will be "bush style" around the camp fire. Thereafter we return to our accommodation for the night.
• DAY 5: The tour returns via the Langkloof to Oudtshoorn where once again we have a two night stopover. En route we could visit Port Elizabeth and take a short city tour before continuing to Jeffreys Bay. After lunch we drive through the Langkloof to Oudtshoorn. We overnight at a local guesthouse.
• DAY 6: Today we take the scenic drive through Meiringspoort to Prince Albert before traversing the Swartberg Pass. If time permits we visit the Cango Caves before arriving back at our accommodation.
• DAY 7: We start the day with a visit to an ostrich show farm and then follow Route 62 through Calitzdorp and Ladismith to Barrydale. We complete the journey back to Cape Town via Montagu, Robertson and the Du Toits Kloof Pass.
